    Obituary Requests

Where can I get an obituary?

Contra Costa residents may search the Contra Costa Times database with a Library card or Ecard.

For database newspaper coverage, see the box below.

Contra Costa residents may also email the Library if they need more help to find the information.

      Please provide:

    • Place of death
    • Date of death
    • Place where the deceased resided in Contra Costa County, if known.
Due to budget and staffing reductions, the Library staff is not able to search an extended date range, nor respond to obituary requests from non-Contra Costa residents.
