One City, One Book

Talking about books with friends, family, and neighbors promotes reading, encourages the exchange of ideas, stimulates critical thinking, and sparks public conversation. One City, One Book programs are designed to foster community discussion about books by encouraging an entire community to read the same book at the same time.

In 2014,  the following Contra Costa County Community Libraries offer "One City, One Book" programs:
